Grade: D+. Kupper took essentially no health-sector money ($50) — but the one health bill he chose to lead (HB2007) would let Arizonans buy ivermectin over the counter, with no prescription and no clinician involved. Ivermectin is an antiparasitic with no established benefit for the illnesses this bill was pitched for; promoting it as a consumer health product is politics, not evidence-based medicine, and stripping the prescriber safeguard makes care worse, not better. It didn’t pass. With no oversight or genuine-access record to offset it, this is the committee’s weakest health contribution.
